Edfords raises turkeys on the farm every year, whilst these are primarily raised for Christmas we do also have a couple of pet turkeys who we intend to raise for breeding in the future.
In 2021 Edfords started to keep traditional breeds including, Norfolk Black, Cambridge Bronze and Bourbon Red turkeys. These breeds have been raised specifically because they are not designed or created to grow quickly for the table but to be raised slowly meaning our birds live for longer and are raised as everything else on the farm.
